Rush - Ongoing series
In Rush, I explore the tension between speed and stillness in urban life. The paintings oscillate between blurred visions of the city seen through the rushing subway window and quiet portraits of passengers asleep. These dreamlike images reveal the quiet fatigue that runs beneath the surface of modern existence, a world that moves too fast to allow for true rest.
Rush reflects the relentless pace of big cities and the deep, unfulfilled human need for pause, slowness, and restoration. Between movement and surrender, the series aims to be a meditation on our collective longing for rest within perpetual motion, noise and pressure.
